Honia Jackson
Of Counsel
Honia Jackson joined Bass Law in 2026, where her practice focuses on family law, criminal defense, and general practice matters. Honia represents clients in state and tribal courts and is involved in all phases of litigation, including legal research, motion practice, case strategy development, and court appearances.
Prior to joining Bass Law, Honia practiced with Klepper Law, where she represented clients in traffic and misdemeanor cases. Her work included negotiating plea agreements, appearing in hearings and bench trials, and managing filings across multiple jurisdictions.
Honia previously served as Associate General Counsel for the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes’ Office of Tribal Attorney. In that role, her practice included drafting and negotiating contracts, preparing tribal legislation, resolutions, and policies, and advising tribal departments on compliance with applicable laws and regulations. She also represented the Tribes in negotiations, including intergovernmental agreements, and assisted with federal compliance matters, including tax disputes and regulatory issues.
Her experience further includes working with tribal entities, small businesses, and nonprofit
organizations on matters involving entity formation, governance, and tax-exempt status. Honia has also provided training and guidance on contract and business matters.
Before entering the legal profession, Honia worked for several years as a Child Welfare
Specialist with the Oklahoma Department of Human Services, where she managed complex child welfare cases, prepared dispositional court reports, and participated in juvenile deprived proceedings.
