Chance Deaton grew up in Marlow, Oklahoma and now lives in El Reno with his wife and son. He primarily focuses his law practice on estate planning, trusts, probate, property, and oil and gas. Chance’s practice includes substantial work on behalf of Oklahoma landowners and mineral owners. He assists clients with oil and gas lease negotiations, surface use and damage agreements, rights-of-way, and estate and succession planning for family mineral interests—work that reflects his longstanding commitment to protecting the rights of individual property owners.

Chance attended the University of Oklahoma, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in political science and graduated with distinction in 2011. He attended law school at Oklahoma City University School of Law and received his J.D. in 2014. While in law school, he was a member of the Oklahoma City University Law Review and published an article with the Law Review in 2013.

Chance is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association and the Canadian County Bar Association. He has been selected to Super Lawyers Rising Stars for estate planning and probate each year since 2019. He is currently serving as an Associate Bar Examiner for District Nine of the Oklahoma Supreme Court.
