EL RENO, Okla. — October 8, 2026 — Bass Law is proud to congratulate Jana Knott on being named a 2026 recipient of the Mona Salyer Lambird Spotlight Award, presented by the Oklahoma Bar Association’s Women in Law Section.
Only five women are selected for the annual award from approximately 7,000 female members of the Oklahoma Bar Association. The award recognizes women who have distinguished themselves in the legal profession and serve as leaders and role models for others in the profession. Knott was honored at the OBA Women in Law Conference on October 2 in Oklahoma City.
“This recognition is incredibly meaningful because it comes from my peers in the legal profession and is voted on by previous winners of the award. It recognizes not only professional accomplishments, but also a commitment to serving, mentoring, and encouraging others,” Knott said. “I am honored to be included among this year’s recipients and grateful for the women who have paved the way for those of us practicing law today.”
The honor comes during a historic year for Knott. In 2026, she was elected President-Elect of the Oklahoma Bar Association, making her the youngest woman ever elected President of the OBA. She will serve as OBA President in 2027. Knott’s election also marks a historic milestone for El Reno. She is the first OBA President elected from El Reno in more than 100 years.
“Jana’s recognition is a tremendous honor for her and for everyone at Bass Law,” said Bass Law President and CEO Chance Deaton. “Her leadership, dedication to the legal profession, and commitment to serving others have made a lasting impact on our firm and our community. We are incredibly proud to see her receive this well-deserved recognition.”
The Mona Salyer Lambird Spotlight Award is named for Mona Salyer Lambird, the first woman to serve as President of the Oklahoma Bar Association. The award has recognized outstanding women in Oklahoma’s legal profession annually since 1996.
Knott serves as the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Bass Law, which maintains offices in El Reno, Oklahoma City and Kingfisher and serves clients throughout the Oklahoma City metro, extending west to El Reno and north to Kingfisher.
Bass Law congratulates Jana Knott on this significant recognition and her historic year of leadership in the Oklahoma legal profession.
