Brooke Boutwell-Day joined Bass Law in 2026. Her practice focuses primarily on civil litigation, family law disputes, and criminal defense. A 2018 graduate of the Wake Forest School of Law, Boutwell-Day devoted the first five years of her career to public service at the state level, first working as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Washington in its Health Care Authority Section and Mental Health Section, and later as a Deputy District Attorney for the Denver District Attorney’s Office in Denver, CO, and then for the Colorado First Judicial District Attorney’s Office in Golden, CO. She is a zealous advocate who has personally handled over 30 jury trials, over 100 bench trials and over 50 motion hearings. As a former prosecutor, she is comfortable in a courtroom at every stage of litigation and is an expert in jury selection and expert witness testimony.

Prior to joining Bass Law, the Oklahoma native worked for a civil litigation defense firm in Denver, where she focused her practice on the defense of governmental entities, civil defendants, and their insurance carriers against state and federal civil rights claims. She also worked for McAfee & Taft, where she represented national insurance carriers in lawsuits alleging bad faith, breach of contract, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, negligent underwriting, and violations of consumer protection laws.

Boutwell Day is a proud member of the Choctaw Nation and a 2015 honors graduate from the University of Tulsa, where she earned her undergraduate degrees in English and Psychology.
