W. Jason Hartwig | Bass Law

W. Jason Hartwig leads the Bass Law civil litigation practice group. Jason’s civil litigation practice focuses on ad valorem tax, business, commercial, environmental, municipal, oil and gas, real property and water disputes and litigation in state and federal courts and administrative proceedings.

Jason represents farmers, ranchers, landowners and royalty owners concerning a variety of oil and gas, water and wind related disputes and litigation, environmental and pollution disputes and litigation, lease negotiation, and the litigation of real property and title disputes.

Jason’s practice includes the representation of clients in disputes involving the valuation and ad valorem taxation of manufacturing facilities and plants, oil and gas gathering systems, exploration and production equipment, processing plants, renewable energy facilities, natural gas and crude oil in storage and combined cycle electric generating plants.

Jason’s practice also includes the representation of local governments in contract and commercial disputes, oil and gas law disputes, real property and zoning disputes, union-related disputes and general litigation matters. Jason is also active in providing legal counsel to local governments for the preparation of ordinances, resolutions, processes and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal laws.
