John A. “Andy” Bass is an attorney at Bass Law Firm, P.C. He joined the firm in 1975.

Andy, a member of the second class of Leadership Oklahoma, served in the 44th Session of the Oklahoma House of Representatives (1992-94), where he was the chairman of the Administrative Rules Committee and vice-chairman of the Insurance Committee. He received a Legislative Appreciation Award from the Oklahoma District Attorneys Association in 1994.

Andy has served on the CompSource Board of Managers since 1999 and was chairman from 2004-2007. He also served on the Legislative Task Force on Workers Compensation Insurance in 2005. His other community leadership positions have included serving on the El Reno Public School Board (1983-92), the El Reno Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and the El Reno Economic Development Authority Board of Directors. In addition, he has been a public school mentor, provided pro bono representation to a citizen-led effort to bring wide-area dialing to El Reno, and is a frequent presenter on estate planning and related topics to the Oklahoma Bar Association, Canadian County Bar Association and other groups.

Andy received his J.D. from Oklahoma City University in 1975. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Oklahoma in 1972.

Andy is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association and is admitted to practice before all Oklahoma Courts, the United States District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma, and the United States Tax Court. He is also a member of the Canadian County Bar Association and the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel.
